I assume that autocorrected from son to sub. Well tell him you love him. You are there to help. He has a disease he didn’t ask for just like all other diseases. Tell him you want to help to find him some “relief”. The goal of the disease is for it to make his life miserable and just want to stay away from therapeutic measures. Help him there. He needs medication (which typically takes a long time to find the right fit). Seek therapy. If no relief at that point try ketamine/psilocybin, tms and then ECT. Look up Avolition too. It will explain his behavior. There is hope. Having family support is huge.
