Here is the latest video from The Running Channel, as one of the team tries for a sub 1hour 10k. All does not go entirely to plan but keep watching…🥹

Brilliant video Sandra. A sub 60 minute 10k is something I have never done. 62 minutes something is my nearest and that was a few years back. Inspiring; thanks for posting it.🙂
I’ve not done one in a long while either…still keep hoping there may be another one somewhere inside me though!
The trouble is I only do 10k on the way to a much longer run. I managed a 51.56 8k on 21 September (6;29 pace) so that could have been a 65 minute 10k had I pressed on…but there is a big difference between that and sub 60 minutes. I found that running faster Ieads to injury for me; hence the focus on distance for the past four years!
That’s amazing! Such an inspiration! & a brilliant video! Thankyou
I love the Running Channel and have watched his training for this. Will watch this morning 🍿
Just watched it 🥰🥲 I’m so thrilled for him and what a plot twist! Tom admits that he has a love/hate relationship with running so he did brilliantly. Go Tom 🏃♂️
Brilliant video. I felt his pain! He really does have a love/hate relationship with running.
Thanks for posting this Sandra (a reminder about what an interesting channel it is 👍). Loved watching this video, I really felt for him and it brought back the emotions I have felt when finishing an event. The ending brought a tear to my eye - what an achievement. It also demonstrates that every run is different and so many factors are involved including weather, humidity, how we feel physically & mentally etc etc. Interestingly I managed a sub (just!!) 30 min 5k once and that was an evening event in the dark (I am very slow when it is warm!). I definitely won’t be trying for a sub 60 min 10k any time soon! 😂 😮💨
