It’s fair to say that most members find our various communities (Couch to 5K, Bridge to 10K, Fun Beyond 10K & Race Support, Strength & Flex and Active 10) inclusive, supportive and friendly and we all work hard to make these spaces as safe and secure as possible for every user.
We encourage every member to read the Community Guidelines, attached here, and in particular we want to remind you of the guidelines concerning online safety:
healthunlocked.com/marathon...
For your own safety, you should not disclose personal information such as your full name, email address, home address, telephone number, or any other information which could directly or indirectly identify you. Remember that posting runs with GPS information can give out more information than you might want to share with strangers and some maps can show the street you live on. When posting event-related photos please be mindful that your race bib number can allow anybody to find your full name and other personal details.
We’d like to add that you should not disclose another person’s name or other personal details in your posts. We appreciate that some members meet up at races and various events and that “real-life” first names are used in these circumstances as friendships are forged, but please remember not to use them online. The same applies to Strava accounts where real names are sometimes used and these can show up on screenshots. Please just be mindful of what you are posting.
If anyone has any concerns or questions about online security then please contact one of the admins by private message.
From your admin team linda9389 Beachcomber66 and me.
