Let long runs slip - ouch

ouch !

My legs are letting me know that I’ve been letting the long runs slip over the last few months.

Have a couple of 10k’s and a half coming up over the next few months so decided I’d run my 10 mile route yesterday.

The run was nothing special, kind of enjoyed it, although I needed to stop and hide behind a bush for a pee (too much info?). And a bit later the optician decided to call me, bust my sunglasses - not that I’ve needed them this year - and they’ve now got new frames in for me to look at.

My route time was nothing spectacular, but not too bad either considering the interruptions, however my legs are still somewhat feeling it today.

Trying to get up to FM distance early next year, so I suspect I’ll be having a few of these achey days. Haha.

Thank goodness for bushes! What would we do without them? 😂

A good foam rolling session should sort out the legs. Well done 👍

Ouch! Stretching really well after a long run should help prevent aching legs ... tired legs though, I don't have a solution 😍

Same problem for me. I was doing multiple 10km runs per week and a HM every month. I've been struggling to squeeze in mostly 2 mile runs in recent months.

Ha. I feel this post… literally. First 10 miler in my FM plan this morning. First in a long time. Feeling it now. Good luck with your recovery. A good foam rolling session should help and topping up on the H2O
