Aaahhhhh, I canβt believe how the Half Marathon has sneaked up on me and is tomorrow π΅π΅π΅ I lost 5 stone and started C25K last spring 2020 , ran a 10k race in Nov 2020 and then decided to up the miles!!!
Itβs my first ever proper real life run and Iβm getting nervous!!! Iβm raising money for Air Ambulance Northern Ireland so alot of people know Iβm doing it π΅βπ«π¬π¬
Any last minute tips or advice? Thanks πππ½ββοΈπ

Nerves are all part of the experience and will give you added energy come race day πͺ so embrace them and use the feeling. Once youβre actually there at the start line, you should feel the excitement rise. This is fun after all π€
Prepare as much as you can today/tonight. Decide what youβre going to wear, lay it out, charge your watch/phone, prepare your fuel, etc. Donβt worry if you don't sleep well tonight, itβs all part and parcel. In the morning, have your usual breakfast and donβt drink lots of water as you don't want that sloshing around when you run.
Youβve done the hard part and trained for this, so now just go out and enjoy it. Start off slowly and try to settle on a pace and stick to it and forget about the other runners. This is for you and you alone π
Itβll be a gorgeous route so youβll have the distraction. Just think youβre an extra on Game of Thrones π π
Your weather looks pretty perfect so thatβs good.
There are a few of us with races tomorrow so weβll all be thinking of you and cheering each other on.
Good luck and enjoy it and come back here to show us the bling! π
Awwwww thanks for the great encouragement ππππ I will def come on here with my photos! Good luck everyone ππ½ββοΈππ½ββοΈππ½ββοΈ

I fear I am too late replying, but I would say just enjoy it! Race atmosphere is fab. And imagine us all cheering you on. Sorry I didn't have you in our pom pom post - but we were all willing you on. Do let us know how it went.
