So I started smoking more and more but Sunday I downloaded the NHS stop smoking app fir a bit of motivation and Iβm on my 3rd day of not smoking and not giving in amd going to buy some .
Great but I also havenβt run for a month I feel like I couldnβt run for a bus ! Sooo I suppose I just get out there and try , Iβm amazed when I read all your posts and canβt believe I used to be able to run 8-10k , Iβm still entered into the Reading Half in November so if I want to do it I need to sort my self out ππ

Good luck. Lots of it. I'm sure the running can help you quit smoking and having a race goal will be a great focus and motivation. Just imagination the sense of satisfaction after that half marathon. Start gently, don't push it, make it enjoyable. Keep posting and we will keep supporting!!!
I smoked for 33 years, up to 2 packs a day, addicted to the bone. Then I used the oldest trick in the book (it's called 'the fear of death') and literary decided to quit on the spot, no apps, no consultations, nothing. Started running soon after. I was 52. My theory is, you either want to quit - or you don't. π
