Probably like quite a few folk, my running has been somewhat of a write off recently as far as HM training goes! My rather ambitious training plan has pretty much gone out of the window - I’ve been trying so hard to get up early but the heat has meant very little sleep, and I don’t like feeling like a zombie at work, so running has had to take a bit of a back seat Hopefully today’s the last warm day and normality can resume! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I’m working the weekend so have today and Monday off, and managed a 90 minute run earlier which was flipping hard work - I must have eyed about 20 benches I just wanted to flop on, the lure was almost too much! I could feel I’d lost a little bit of fitness. But I panted and puffed my way to the end, and am now stretched and flopping on the sofa. I love ❤️ my couch especially after a run 🏃♀️.
So hopefully I’m a bit back on track and next week will be back to normal!
Have a smashing day whatever you’re up to. 😊😊😊

That's a smashing run you banked Frenc and oh the weather it's just not helping, I'd decided that I simply can't risk the dreaded attack from the dastardly UV rays it triggers the PLE and well..... 😭
Thank you! Yes, those darn benches, it was so close! The weather looks like it will be easier to contend with for a while anyway, so no more excuses 😆🏃♀️.
Glad you are getting back on track 👍😊 I am too - first run today after 12 days great to get back out there! All the best with your training - do you have a race/event coming up?
Ah well done! I bet it felt great. I don’t have an event or anything, I just want to be able to do it. They do have one here where I live at the end of September, but the route looks just horrible, and I’m way too chicken to enter it! Maybe next year when I have more experience 😊.
Yes, the heat certainly slows running down. That was a great run you did, such a relief to get back out.I was very relieved it was 14" in the peak district at 6am today... So refreshing to run and not immediately feel the heat. Plus was running along the Sett Valley Trail which was all under trees... Bliss.
