I have signed up to a half marathon race which is in october. This will be my first ever race. I have only been running since the start of the year after a long long break. I currently run 3 times a week, i do a speed workout easy run and a long run. I can currently run upto 7 miles at a average pace of 9:05/ mile. My current 5k pb is 26:45 and 10k is 55:52. I have set a goal for the half marathon in october to finish under 2 hours which i know is 9:09/mile. By following a suitable training plan is this a realistic goal. Also is it recommended to run with a pace group on the day of the event. Any advice will be really helpful.
Thanks

Yep everything @roseabi said. Pacers will keep you honest for sure. Also liquid fuel like Tailwind or Nuun are good when you are pushing harder/longer later in your plan.
