Well the Friday long run is here again, it seems to come around so quickly. Listening to the weather forecast last night I was expecting a slight frost and possibly a little fog. So dressing accordingly I put a light weight hat on over my headband and a thick pair of fingerless gloves over my lightweight full gloves and stepped outside - no frost and no fog so my concern is that I may be overdressed!
Carried on as it was still a little fresh.
I ran at a steady pace throughout the run and feeling comfortable and enjoyed combining my normal route with the new part that I tried out last week. Iโm also getting better at taking in water for the first hour and a small amount of tailwind for the second hour, Iโm pleased to be mastering drinking whilst running. Before I knew it I was at 16.1 but carried on a little further to save me walking it before my 5min warm down where I met a near neighbour who Iโd not seen for some time, she said she didnโt recognize me at first due to the weight loss but gave me the thumbs up ๐ that I was doing well and was amazed Iโd just run ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ 10 miles! Made my day! Not only that I arrived home to find my husband had already given me Kudos on Strava - that was quick off the mark! All in all a lovely run and with 10 miles in the bag for LEJOG04 and my 10miles on target for my second half marathon in a few weeks it was a lovely morning run to set up the day ahead.
Happy running everyone๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐

Wow! Great work Over62. I love the "Before I knew it I was at 16.1"! That is phenomenal. It wasn't a hard slog, you're just doing your thing, achieving great distances. You should be very pleased and proud of yourself ๐๐๐
