A few pictures taken on this morning's run from Newlands Corner in Guildford over to and around St Martha's hill. Lots of up and down hill work here but fortunately we only did about 5k today following my long run on Saturday. The views from St Martha's church are stunning and it's a place that holds many memories for me. The path up St Martha's hill itself is sandy and energy sapping (yes, I did take a short walk break I'm afraid - I think I was walking faster than I could run it at the time!) but running down was great fun!! Definately going to run here again but I think next time we'll plan a longer route...💪!

Home now and facing a day of DIY!🔨 😱 Prior to the pandemic 😷 we had booked a holiday 🏖 in Majorca which would have been this week but cancelled it some time ago. My lucky husband's holiday time is now going to be used with us building alcove cupboards in the front room! Happy days! 😂🙂

Wow that looks a lovely place to run Sandraj39 ! We are lucky we have so many places to run that we've discovered during lock-down. That's one benefit of all this upheaval at least!

Definately a 'good for the soul' run this morning, David! I do usually tend to run 'on my doorstep'. Short drive for this one but it was definately worth it! 🙂

Ohhh I used to live near there! 😊 Well before my running days, alas. Looks like the perfect day for getting out and about too.

I hear you with the DIY 😬 I've just got over the stress of having a house full of workmen and instead of relaxing as planned I am now thinking about which project to tackle next. I'm a glutton for punishment.

...it was raining first thing but stopped as soon as we started to run!

I love visits to Guildford I always had a great time chatting and bartering at the street market And always an interesting excursion to Babylon for me and my daughter's absolutely love the Stationary store that has all the different shaped erasers

I'll definitely check out that view next year hopefully
