Just thought I'd let everyone know that thanks to all your lovely tips and suggestions I have made excellent progress in my fight against the dreaded smelly running clothes!
As you know if you read my post I was having trouble getting an ingrained sweat smell out of my running clothes π·π€
So, I went shopping to Sainsbury's and bought the two lovely bottles in the pic. As per advice, after my last run I put clothes straight into the sink with water and the anti bac stuff whilst I had a shower. Then put in the wash ( with other laundry) and used the sports wash. I didn't use fabric conditioner and hung them out on the line. Result? Lovely smelling clothes!!! Thank you all for your help, it really has made a big difference. Once again this forum has proved to be v supportive and helpful π Thank you!!
Hope it helps others too x

Glad I found your posts as I have the same problem with smelly gear. The Karrimor stuff seems to be worse than the Nike/Under Armour/Puma/other branded tops. I've used Halo for a while, occasionally with vinigar or a vinigar pre-soak but I have noticed a kind of chip shop smell afterwards! I'm going to put the anti-bac stuff on the shopping list now.
I'm glad that it has helped. It's the sort of problem you don't always like to share! Hope the anti bac stuff works for you. Dettol make one but I didn't see that one when I went but luckily Sainsbury's did one too. I have read about vinegar but haven't tried that (yet)
It may be that the anti bac works best if used on new clothes but it did seem to work on a top I've worn at least about 5 or 6 times.
