Longest run and first post!

I was umming and aahing last night as to whether to do a long run today. After reading posts on here, and looking at the amazing runs on strava, I decided to go for it! It was lovely to feel the warmth of the sun as I set off along the country lane behind our house. When I got to the sea wall the sea looked so inviting - I'm going to have to pop back there this afternoon with the kids. It was hot at this point and the sea breeze was very welcome. I've never eaten on a run before but today I took some jelly babies with me. I ate 2 at 8 km and another 2 at 11km and 15km. Although the warm jelly babies didn't particularly taste great they did allow me to do my longest run yet πŸ₯³

Wow! That looks like an absolutely gorgeous run. I can imagine how welcome the breeze would have been with clear skies like that too.

Congratulations on running 10 miles (powered by jelly babies😍) ! You now have a shiny new badge to wear with pride. That's a great milestone achievement, and very close to the full HM distance now.

Tortoise by name but not by nature on the basis of that run πŸ’ͺπŸ”₯πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Thank you Linda. I have to say I'm feeling chuffed! Luckily as I don't particularly like jelly babies they are safe to have in the cupboard for long runs as I'm not tempted to scoff them πŸ˜‚

Fabulous run, very well done πŸ‘

10 miles is an impressive distance...I'm working my way back to the longer distances after 5 months of shorter runs and that's the one that will really make me feel like I've made it 😊

Also it gives you a great calorie deficit to make up if you fancy a treat πŸ˜‰
