Well, I just spent most of April doing 5ks in my garden. In total I ran over 100kms for a local cancer charity. 5 x 5km per week on consecutive days. Got a few ks to get up to my 65 mile challenge to do tomorrow so I am going to be naughty and run round my village centre as it has a nice hill or 2 so it will be like interval training. As lockdown seems to be easing here I was contemplating doing the jump to a half. Before the lockdown I was doing 2x6 and 1x 10 per week.
So I was thinking of taking the plunge and training for a half marathon. Is there a good training plan about and what does everyone think? Advice considered if not heeded!
Below a pic of my final run and the worn track round the garden!

As you have been running regularly that will give you a good base fitness. Commitment and belief will get you so far. Have you run distances beyond 10k ?
There are many plans supplied for free, just do a quick search on the web. Basically you need to gradually build up to a long run of 10 miles or more (17k +) and practice 'on the run' nutrition of small snacks / gels / water.
Just found the actual posts but cannot put a hyperlink on them. I searched Health Unlocked for Spring Marathon group and you will see a series of links covering the various aspects as I mentioned before. Within Roseabi's opening post she covers the topic for that week but then gives links to previous posts which is what you want. Also, if you look on the right hand side there are pinned posts relating to the Spring Marathon group which will also get you to where you want to be.
Well worth searching for and finding, the content is so very helpful and motivating.
No, you probably aren't!! If you click on RoseAbi's profile and scroll down to the Spring Half Marathon Group posts from late last year, there are several posts which have links to various facets of half marathon training ie pacing, food and drink during run, training programmes etc etc.
I found these again yesterday and they are really really helpful and so full of info.
Hope you find them but please ask RoseAbi if you cannot.
