Yes I think running 3 days a week is fine, just as long as you plan just to finish - as I know you are doing!

Take the rest if your leg is too sore to run - be patient. It is much better to take a couple of weeks off running and still be able to do your marathon, then end up benched with an injury. Do some cross training that doesn't cause pain - swimming, cycling possibly. Take gentle walks to keep your legs moving.

You'll be ok! But if you can't do the marathon in April, there will always be other marathons xxx

I’m sorry to hear the pain is still there Paul. I think 3 days/ week should be fine too if your goal is to finish. Have you tried massage rolling at all? My calf muscle painfully seized up a few times behind the knee in training and rolling the whole leg seemed to help to un knot it, along with an extra rest day or two.

Might be worth investment in a physio appointment. Sadly I picked up a calf injury last week. Physio was great, told her I was planning HM in March. She said " no guarantees but I'll do my best". Take care now!
