Findarace tells me there are 16 events this weekend, but so far no HUers have posted in the January events post to say they are racing this week.
I'm therefore going to raise my pom poms and give a big shout out to anyone unfortunate enough to head into the New Year on the IC. I send you sympathy, healing vibes and great hope that your 2020 can only get better. In the meantime, find patience and positivity to keep you going.
LATEST NEWS: HU is represented this weekend after all - Interstellar will be running the Wirral Way Winter Half Marathon on Sunday! time2runevents.co.uk/info2....
Good luck to you, and to anyone else who may be racing this coming week. Pom poms aloft, let's all cheer .... !
Happy New Year everyone

All the best to everyone struggling with injury, I've been there and come out the other side a few times now. I hope you can find another form of exercise to keep your fitness levels up, and that your return to running will be swift!
I tried to do the 30 day Yoga challenge with Adrienne this morning, Recognize. It was going well until we got to tabletop and started using feet...🙄Then downward dog was when I had to give up. Instead I did the yoga stretches video for those with a hurt foot by Caroline Jordon that you recommended previously, and feel better....
Then, I received a phone call with a cancellation for NHS physio for next Tuesday! Hurray, I don't have to wait until 22nd to be seen after all.
So your positive vibes are already having a great effect.
Fingers crossed that others on the IC with me, start to see improvement soon.
That's fabulous news BB! I'd definitely save Adriene for when you're better - they are all still available on youtube from 5 years ago, so will wait. CJ should serve just as well right now. Well done for not just giving up. You'll be back ...
Oo I signed up to this too! It started well, I found my pilates mat and set a reminder on my phone—but so far have not had a chance to do any, and am away all weekend 😂 it's fast becoming 26 Days of Yoga.
Hey Bluebirdrunner , when I had (mild) PF I found Adriene had a video just for feet which I found really therapeutic. You can adapt it too, and just do the bits where you feel comfortable. Worth a look! 😀👏
Thank you Cheeky, but I think I may have caused the pain in my plantar tendon by rolling my foot on a ball and over stretching it...doing a foot video🙄
I am doing the calf stretch against the wall and icing/massaging my foot/calf. There is a stretch for the base of my foot that the previous physio gave me, but I'm only doing this once a day.
I can't do any heel raising on the affected foot. The pain has changed again since Christmas, I think the physio will start to help now.
All the tightness in my calf/ achillies may have caused my foot problem.
Oh gosh BBR, your PF sounds horrific, I’m so sorry. 🙁 Mine was mild enough that I was still able to run. In fact the pain went entirely whilst running, it was only painful first thing in the morning.
I really hope you’ll be on the mend soon. I can imagine how frustrating it must be for you. 👎
