I was so looking forward to New Yearβs parkrun. The bagpipes, Ald Lang Syne. But a dodgy tummy put paid to that. Stayed in bed βΉοΈ. I hope you all had a great run for me.
Ahh, feel better soon Dexy π
Iβm sure it had nothing to do with last nightβs alcohol consumption π₯³
Or maybe you need more practice in that department π
Sorry to hear that Dexy - what a pain!π’ Hope you make a speedy recovery
Thanks Jonathan, it was strange lying in bed while UTS went to parkrun. Just like the old days before I discovered I could run, and he would do it on his own. but I wanted to be there to link arms and sing auld Lang syne with all my parkrun buddies, and wish them all a happy new year. No way I could though. I didnβt even feel up to watching. Back to normal today though.

I volunteered as I knew we had a late, food and alcohol fuelled NYE planned (did the same last year). 660 runners, two of us handing out finish tokens - that's approximately 330 'Well done, Happy New Year, great way to start' s π.
Put me in a proper good mood and thoroughly enjoyed my ride afterwards π
Thatβs interesting. We have two finish token volunteers but one takes tokens off a lace and pass to the other in small batches, and one passes to the runners.

We had a monster PR with loads doing the double, Tring, then running the 3 mile trail to Wendover Woods in between. 475 which is 4 x our usual turn out. Itβs a lovely scenic 1 lap course if youβre ever in the Chiltern area. Itβs a course thatβs downhill and not downhill ππ€£π€£ Well worth a bit of PR tourism, lovely cafe at the end and loads of parking. X
