Very colourful photo of your running gear for your Great South Run on Sunday Dexy5, I wish you and UTS all the best for your run at Portsmouth.

Last week I "followed" FlickM3's at the Oxford Half Marathon progress on an app using her BIB number, I understand not all runs use that, but if The Great South Run does, it would be nice to follow your progress in the run, think the weather is going to be good for running. 😊 🏃🏾, once again, good luck and enjoy the run. 🏃🏾

Thank you for your good wishes Al. For security reasons, I don’t give my real name on the website, so I have hidden my number. I keep my strava private too so no-one can follow me on there. I hope you will understand. However, if you watch it on channel 5 on Sunday you might be able to spot me in this kit.

I used to lie in bed visualising the race - read somewhere that that was a good thing to do 🤣. It had the happy side effect of sending me to sleep! I'd start all excited/anxious imagining the logistics and start pen, but actually as you imagine setting off and then imagine plodding through with others around you, it gets kind of repetitive and I'd always drop off - the start anxiety/anticipation is replaced by the rhythm and security of all the training you've done I guess. Rather counterintuitive but it definitely worked for me 🤪🤪🤪

LOVE!!!! those leggings!!! The very best of luck! Actually I sneakily covered my number up too (in my case because I;'d read that your number can be stolen and somebody run as you - not sure how that works but wasn't going to risk it), but they still found me and followed me on the app. I couldn't understand how Floss knew I'd finished and messaged me to congratulate me!I was touched actually. You will be fab! xx

Thanks Flick, You can follow the race using someone’s name or number on the Great run app. I wore these leggings at Bristol 10k for the first time so I think this is my lucky race outfit now.
