This looks like a fab course! I am looking for a second half marathon and this would have been ideal, as I love trails - unfortunately I am only just back at 10 miles, so it comes a bit sooner than I would like. Will definately keep it on my radar for next year however! Good luck with your Half 👍- what a beautiful place to run! 🙂

Looks good. I love the new forest, but Like Sandraj39 it is a bit too soon for me this year, but next perhaps. For that reason, and just because I love them, a race report would be most welcome, please.

I am there for the hm, I did the 10k last year. I am not sure how I will get on as training has been interesting! I did a marathon in may with training from Jan to may. I have tried to keep 10 or 12 mile runs every other week since but this is all road running and not trail. I am going abroad for 2 weeks so probably shorter runs in the heat. I get back 2 weeks before so may need to get a 12 mile run in then before taper. So I feel slightly under prepared !!

Brilliant. I’m still on the IC so my training plan is out of the window. I know I can run 10 miles at a steady pace so I’ll just look to stretch it for another three on the day. This will be my first proper event. I’ll look out for you.

Oh no sorry to hear you are on the IC. Hopefully you will be fighting fit by then. It is a really nice event, a bit stop/start getting in in the morning and getting out afterwards but a lovely scenic run. Looking forward to it!

Thanks SlowLoris, I walked much of this route last summer and ran a bit around Brockenhurst early this year. I will definitely check out the 10k.
