Hi Bluebird tough but fun 🤣 the hardest bit..100m river swim and the water was ice cold..then you had a cargo net climb out of the water onto a bridge...boy Haha 😎

Now that's a thought! I can't believe I packed a short sleeve t option. I used to live here. I know what the wind is like. And a forecast start of 3 degrees was never going to be warm. Hey ho. Thanks for the encouraging message - much appreciated in this window of porridge digestion and ultimate 'flappery' 😍

I don't suppose they collect throwaway clothes? I would definitely be doing that if I were running Brighton today "feels like 2 degrees" is forecast for the start time, brrrrrrrrr!

Have loads of fun, you'll be warm when you start running xxx

Hubby will be at start line so can take any discarded layers. But I'm thinking I might need two layers for the first while anyway - both LS but pretty thin. I'll see what others are wearing and may just set off in one. Bib is certainly not going on top of second layer! Only 2 degrees in Brighton? Wow. That's chilly - I thought it was just N Wales being .. well ... N Wales (feels like 0)! The wind is getting up again too, fences rattling in their posts 😀

It's tricky at the start, but it is good running weather - I'm so envious of the Brighton runners, deffo signing up for next year 😁

You may as well have the two layers, be fine with the bib on your leg, and you may well want both layers at times in those temperatures! xxx
