A great article about Decker 's coach's amazing journey from Hamilton to Boston. I've read a few articles about him over the last year or so. He really is quite the inspirational person, coming back from a cancer diagnoses to being a very accomplished ultramarathon runner .... and our own Decker gets to run with him regularly. So cool!

That's another great article! I love where he says even most runners think it's a little far to run 😂. I imagine he experiences quite a few looks and strange expressions along the way.

Yeah, just a little far! When they went through customs, the officer just said “well that’s a new one” and let them through 😂

He’s been posting to our run group regularly, and got into Massachusetts today. Over 600km in right now. Had to rest yesterday for the pain but he kept going today. Just. Freakin’. Amazing.

It puts things in perspective, doesn't it? You can do anything with the right training and mindset, that's for sure. I love how he's also raising money for socks for the homeless. An inspiration, for sure!

Yeah he is an incredible human being. Even at the ATB race, with so much on his mind, leaving for this trip right after the race, he still paced a couple of our runners to get PBs and I think one of them even got a silver medal for a sub 2:30 finish.

Love this article. Sounds like an amazing guy!

Fantastic acheivement, he will do it I'm sure.😊xx

As a side note. I read FKT ( fastest known time)....but all I could think of was Irish John's FKT (famous kitchen timer) !!😀

We do all run together!❤😁xxx

I wasn't around for IRish John's initial foray where the FKT became famous but when it resurfaced last year, I just couldn't resist asking what it meant. It drove me nuts not knowing 😆
