Ok, so Friday's short run didn't happen due to migraineπ©, I have had far too many late nights this week and had already talked myself down from a 15/16k into "just a 10k, probably" by the time I set off for my run this afternoon. I do this to myself sometimes.π Luckily though, I am a runner and I love to runβ€οΈ! Of, course I had taken fuel and water "just in case" and within the first couple of kilometres I knew I was in it for the long run! Up on to my lovely trails, lots of puddles after this mornings rain and all my favourite routes to explore. Here I stayed (and ran) for the next 12.5k, all felt good and what a beautiful autumnal afternoon. As I ran down the path that takes me back on to my local roads, I felt as though I had a stone or something in my shoe (?). Wiggling my toes to move whatever it was, resulted in me tripping and going down just before the dirt track changed in to concrete! As I am now primed to do, I paused my Garmin(!), took stock of the fact that I was actually ok, said something along the lines of "I am not stopping now!" and carried on for the remainder of my run. 10 miles done and for the first time since last spring! This running thing can be hard sometimes and I have had a couple of nasty injuries over the last few years which have really made me dig deep, believe in myself and get back out there. This evening I am happy and proud... and off now to watch the last episode of Bodyguard! Happy running!π

Wow... as ever my friend a great run.. despite the trip!!! Totally inspirational... xxx
Looks like a fab run, GSR is in the bag! As you say, it is turning autumnal now with the trees changing colour, numerous acorns and conkers under foot and a nip in the air. I need to do another 10 mile soon to see how I go. Sorry to hear you fell, I hope you are ok! Also just watched the bodyguard, what a cracking series.
Well done you! I really enjoyed reading this and hope your enthusiasm can jump off my computer screen into my head! I am sorry that you had a fall and also a migraine. I hope the happy and proud feelings last a nice long time. π πββοΈ
Way to get up and carry on despite the fall. There have definitely been a few women down lately, but fortunately not out. A great run, nonetheless.
Lovely running weather today. What are we like! Clumsy apparently π
Glad youβre in one piece πͺπππββοΈπππΏ
Yep, just tripped over my own feet!! How are you feeling after your fall misswobble ? Hope you're healing?π
I had a sleepless night. I think Iβve got to the stage of healing where the skin sort of shrinks Ouch ouch ouch. Everything you do involves using your hands I think iβm going to wear leather gloves formrunning from now on. I had a lovely pair of thin ones. Can I eck as like find em π
Great run there Sandra, in spite of the fall! Good thing it happened before the concrete bit started. Glad you are ok.
Thanks Decker . Yep, I was lucky and I reckon I fall 'well'! ππ

Might see you there this time!π
Have you entered now then, Ali? A meeting point would be great (loo queues and crowds permitting!) There are a few others running this from the forums too. π
