It was hot, and my ankle decided that it would hurt from 1.5km in, but I kept plodding on. Was slightly thrown by the two drink stations being just one. Managed my best time, no stopping but did walk a bit between runs to allow the ankle to ease up.
I was exhausted at the end, and so focused on getting across line I forgot to breathe (whoops).
Great medal though, band so pleased with myself for not giving in when I was struggling

Congratulations! Well done. I agree, it was unexpectedly hot today which makes it even more of an achievement. Bling looks fab too. Hope you have a wonderful evening planned full of self indulgent treats
Stopped hurting half an hour after I finished running it was a good first proper run and the stewards were really good, as was a parking warden that I passed twice as well as the elite runners who lapped us, they all said well done and keep going, and offered support
Running is a friendly sport, everyone seems to want to help each other from what I have seen
Well done...super hard when something is hurting like that and it's gone quite hot again. Also, fab bling and for a great cause. I think the phrase is "job done"!🙂👏🏅
Great well done nice bit of bling too. but a special mention that you carried on even with your foot hurting and the weather was hot. This will do you well for future races as well.
Thank you there is a photo on the official page where I am looking miserable... But after that I am smiling. I think the miserable face was my grim determination to finish
