Hi - yes I do! It was monitored for a while before I was officially diagnosed and put on medication last summer. Trained and completed my first HM whilst sub- clinical (and not medicated!) Still juggling to get optimum levels of meds sorted but certainly feel much better since I started on Levo and also started supplementing my iron levels with Spatone. What about you? I run on average three times a week. At the moment two shorter runs (5-6.5k) and a longer run most weekends (10-13k).

Hi! Welcome to the forum!!

I do not have this problem myself, but I understand that exercise such as running can be highly beneficial for those who live with it. If you're interested in training yourself to be fitter and stronger this is a great forum to follow, and I hope we'll see more of you round here :)

Having said that, there are a couple more running forums on Health Unlocked you might like to visit and post your question to - I have just done a quick search on both and I can see that quite a few people have been talking about hypothyroidism from time to time.

There is the Couch to 5K forum:

... and the Bridge to 10K (for people who have graduated from the Couch to 5K programme):

I’m hypothyroid, currently on 75mcg of levothyroxine daily. I find in general running helps a lot although the joint and muscle pain that accompanies the hypo means I have to listen extra carefully to my body... saying that I’ve had some much more serious health issues in he last few months that are limiting my running.

Ive done C25K and C210K and it quite literally saved my life.
