OK, I've done it. York marathon booked and paid for for October and accommodation requested (probably in totally the wrong place knowing me). Ooerπ

Lots of time for faffage π

Good for you - that gives you lots of time to build up (says she who has never done one).

Awesome. May I add you to the Events calendar?

Fantastic! Let the faffage begin!

Well done! One thing I've learned over the past 6 months is: don't start your training too soon, or you'll get fed up when you really need to be pushing yourself.
Thanks for that C3PO. I can see how that would happen. For me I'm only doing 3 runs a week to train as per usual so hoping it won't be too different to my 'normal' running in that respect. It's only later on that the longer runs get, well a lot longer. I will keep in mind what you've said though, useful to know.

I allowed four months. it felt like four years π
Good for you. I think it should be made easier by having lots to see. Lovely York and a busy field will keep your mind off the running, and make the race go quicker. Thatβs the idea anyway π
So, all that remains is to get going πππͺπββοΈ
Good luck
Thanks misswobble . I've allowed lots of time as I think that suits my mindset better (although I will bear in mind what C3PO has said). I think as I run 3 times a week it's easier to do the plan a long way out to get unpressured miles into my legs. Although I could be wrong - wouldn't be the first time π. The plan doesn't get too demanding until July. I suppose I can always just start another plan nearer the time if I am getting stale.

I had my marathon plan and pulled in other races along the way π

ooh exciting! fantastic Annie, you'll be great York is lovely so i've heard
Thanks Ali. York is great. Wonder if I'll think so on 13/14th October!π
