Cold 10s

Today was the 2nd grey, cold 10.5 this week. Almost convinced myself to stay home. Running west into a headwind along the hydro corridor. Layered 4 deep today with my big fat ski gloves. The trail is open and it was quite windy (-9 windchill - cold but not crazy) , but much more pleasant on the eastern way home with the wind mostly at my back. Hands were much warmer today too 😁 Nose was running non stop. Need to bring a full pack of Kleenex next time🙂 Next Sunday is supposed to be a fast 17k. Hope the weather cooperates.

Those headwinds are the bane of my existence 😠. Good on you for getting out the door though. I chose to stay in despite a balmy 5C so I could watch the curling Olympic trials. At least I got some cross training in - elliptical and some strength training 💪😆 so I didn't spend the entire day holding the couch down

I was thinking of you while out there this morn :) having to deal with the headwinds all the time. Sounds like you had a very productive day. My cross training has gone by the wayside lately

Haha, thanks but not really😁 I was very layered with my music on so it wasn’t too bad.

Well done! I recommend something a bit tougher like kitchen roll (if your nose can take it!), as it holds up better in a damp environment :)

Ah yes. Didn’t cross my mind but that would have helped with the shredded tissue mess in my pocket by the end

Good job! I have to admit that I've become one of those terrible runners who just pinches my nose and blows out. I'm glad your hands were warmer this time.

Yes I also admit one of the reasons I take the hydro tower corridor route is to spit it out when I really need to. When there is no one about of course 😁 which is usually the case. Would never ever do that in the cemetery, alone or not.
