Tomorrow's 17K race is less than a day away, and the forecast is for 25C and sun. My race pack came with a sponge, but where do I carry a dry sponge? I'll be wearing a hydration belt, so maybe I can tuck it in there until I start using the sponge.
What do you usually do with your sponges?

Hi all! Will write a proper report later, but I suddenly realized what the mysterious elastic fasteners on the side of my hydration belt were for. Sponges! I saw another runner do the same. A third runner stowed it in her shorts. I bet she suffered chafing.
Hope you had a great race Cristina! Sponges on a hot day is a perfect idea
Ps IWRR have offered the remaining left over St George's medals , with a fee and then send in proof of completion by end of December, so 5 of us are going to run the route together and claim our Dragon medals!
