Well that time of year when most of us have some time off and for us runners a chance to run in daylight

Just seen weather forecast for this week and it is good so opportunities to get some miles in!!

Are any of you planning any races during the festive season??

No races organised. Parkrun is happening on Christmas Day but I think I will give it a miss. Got folks over and food is expected. The call of the wild is powerful though .............

Not in my household - will have a house full of chefs, and it's the women who are superfluous!

No races here. Only local race is a small marathon on the 27th from one sports shop to another. Must admit I was tempted last year, as they ran past my house. But I can't really justify leaving my family for that long at Xmas.

On the other hand, I'm considering it next year as part of my training for a marathon I expect to run in 2018.

I will do Eastbourne parkrun on xmas day as it's near our inlaws house and i will take the oldest so he can have some fresh air and let everyone relax for an hour!

I'm hoping to continue with my marathon training (I've been having a bit of an annoying sinusitis setback!), and maybe do the Xmas Eve Brighton & Hove parkrun. That's all I've got :)

I'm getting race withdrawal symptoms!! I did a 10k race a week ago but no more planned until march now. I'm in 100 mile challenge for December though so will be keeping up the mileage for that; 53 miles done so far! I've never done a park run so might do my first on Christmas Eve or nye. Most of all I'm looking forward to some morning runs with no work afterwards. And a bit of guilt free eatingπŸ˜‹

Not during the festive season itself, but I have an HM on the 15th January, so will be making sure to get some good runs in during the Christmas week.
