Hi, I know that the first CPN visits is like a chat and about 1 hour but I really need to know any more details.

Also if anyone has any experience with CMHT or CPN please let me know, I'm really stressed about it.

Thank you

Hi, meeting with your Community Mental Health nurse for the first time can be pretty daunting. Just try to prioritise your needs. It might be useful to write them down. They have experience in every mental health situation, and I found the best way was to be completely honest about how my own mental health issues were affecting myself and others around me. Don’t feel that you have to tell them everything in one meeting because that can be mentally draining.

You will probably see a mental health nurse initially who will listen to you, and arrange to see you again.

You can expect a care plan. Ask your nurse what it involves, and remember that you can have someone with you.

Best wishes x
