My dad has recently been diagnosed with Alzheimer's - he also passed the initial memory test on a good day. I wrote an initial list of the behaviours that were worrying us, then mum kept a log and we talked to dad, then mum went back to the GP with dad (and the list). He then had a much more in-depth assessment at home with a specialist nurse, which resulted in being referred to a consultant and the eventual diagnosis. I would recommend keeping a log and taking it with you to the GP as evidence of your worries. It's usually possible to request to see a different GP at the same practice if you want a 2nd opinion. Good luck! :-)
