Is this a replacement fo rthe macular community forum?

I was really surprised when I saw about this on the md society website.

Is this going to run alongside the macular community forum that's on md website? I've found that forum really useful and feel a bit lost at the idea it may disappear.I've had enough changes in my life with being diagnosed with MD and its consequences and don't really .relish more changes.

Hello Northernstar,

Let me reassure you that this is another forum where you can talk to others with macular disease. The Macular Disease Society forum will still continue as normal. We are in the process of updating our website which will be launched in in the New Year.

The Macular Disease Society 'owns' this part of the Health Unlocked forum and can be used by members and non-members alike.
