Dr Jasleen K Jolly, from the Vision and Eye Research Institute at Anglia Ruskin University, joins us tonight for our next My Macular and Me webinar to discuss her latest research on Charles Bonnet syndrome.
The research has been split into two studies, the first uses an MRI to observe the activity levels of neurotransmitters in people with CBS compared with people without. The second study has called for participants with frequent hallucinations to undergo an electroencephalogram (EEG) to see how brain activity changes before, during and after a hallucination.
Our understanding of CBS is still extremely limited, but the objective of this research is to widen what we know about the condition and to spread awareness. To learn more about the research and the outcomes so far, join our webinar tonight, Tuesday 15 August at 7pm.
