Hello folks. My name is Michael. For years I was receiving shots of Eylea by a doctor that I trusted completely. About 3 years ago I moved and it was just too far to travel to continue seeing this great doctor. I then continued Eylea injections with a new Retina man. On about the 4th visit I noticed, when the injection site cleared up, that there was some mild but obvious distortion in a straight line, like a pole or a rod stuck in the ground. It has been months since I noticed this and it has never really cleared up. After this last shot 8 days ago I noticed that the vision was slightly blurred which never happened before. They took me in immediately and after pictures and an extensive exam the covering doctor said everything was alright and it may have just been irritation from the injection. I go back for a follow up in 12 days and for the routine 8 week shot in 6 weeks. To make a long story short, has anyone else experienced blurriness that has lasted more than a week after an injection. I know, after reading some stories here that it could be worse but it is still troubling to me. Thank you all in advance for any reply and God Bless...Michael

Loss of Sharpness after Eylea injection
Hi Michael. Yes, I have but just the once so far. I've been having injections since 2018 (about 56 injections now) but I had this sometime last year and was quite worried about it, but after a few weeks, it passed off. I do have dry eye a lot though and I did wonder if maybe that's what it may have been. I'm sure others on this forum will reply in due course. I hope your follow-up goes well and that there is no further blurriness. Good luck and let us know how you get on.
Hello Michael, i have been having Eyelea injections in one eye for around 4/5 years now, the blurriness does vary i think from person to person, mine usually clears up within a couple of days. i too have dry eye problems, and use eye drops to help with this, the consultant has said use them three or four times a day if necessary, and they certainly do help. The Eyelea injections have in my case worked very well, and the time between appointments has increased to every 14 weeks now, so all good. Best wishes to you.
Hello Penelopeflower,
So very nice of you to reply and I appreciate it very much. Yes, it does seem to vary. This was over 8 days and that was what started to get me worried. Sounds like you have a terrific response to the medication. I never heard of 14 week intervals, that is terrific. Thank you again and continued success...Michael
