To follow on from my previous post on floaters, has anyone had any experience of the use of acupuncture to treat these?
I’m seeing an acupuncturist for a back related condition (which is helping, by the way!) and he’s of the view that acupuncture can also help with floaters. I haven’t fully started a course of treatment where the target is ‘floaters’ so can’t report just yet.
But just interested if there is any experience in the community?
Willing to try something else as the floaters / blurriness I’m experiencing is not going away.

floaters are a natural ageing process however they are horrid.
I would be very interested as to the theory behind your acupuncturist.
Has there been any research on this?
Interestingly ( not directly linked) Avastin has only been approved to be used for Colon cancer and when it was used for this in cancer patients their sight improved for those with Wet AMD hence the reason it was then used for those patients with Wet AMD so sometimes treatments can work in an unexpected way.
I realise fully that this isn’t research but there are a lot of links on line that claim a positive benefit when using acupuncture - this is just one many.
