Good morning , Do you use a visually impaired keyboard?

I am desperate for one, but there are so many on the market which one do I choose? Amazon have quite a selection, but which yellow and black wireless one do I choose. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Good morning weatherwatcher. Have you had a look on the RNIB website to see if they have anything there? x

Good morning Sprongcross, Just had look on the RNIB web-site.They have yellow and black sticker £5 that my wonderful neighbours can stick on for me, this way I can keep my own wireless keyboard. At least I can try them. I will give them a ring later, not even going to try and buy on-line.

Thank you for your brilliant thought.

Take care xx

That's really good weatherwatcher, that's saved quite a bit and if it's not really that good, at least you haven't wasted a lot of money. 👍x

Thanks and you have a good day too weatherwatcher. xx

Hello weatherwatcher, There are many different large print keyboards available. I use a large-print keyboard, that is white print on black. I think the colour choice comes down to individual preference and what suits you best. My keyboard came with my magnifying software, but I found some similar online, I'll pop some links below.

I hope you find these useful.

Best wishes,

Morning weatherwatcher,

The software that I use on my computer is called Zoomtext, it is not an app, but software that has to be purchased to put on your computer.

If you were looking at apps for your phone or tablet, one that I find quite handy is Seeing AI. It's a free app that can read text and documents aloud using the camera. It also has a barcode reader which I sometimes use when I'm out food shopping. I'm sure there are many apps that can do this kind of thing, but personally I find it really easy to use. Also most smart phones should have an app to use the phone as a magnifier. I have an iPhone and use it regularly as a magnifying glass. ,

Warm wishes,

Kelly :)
