Pain in eye

I saw dr earlier with a/f and I’ve woken up with bad pain in one eye Due to have injections on Wednesday in both eyes but dr said to take bisoprolol for high heart and stop taking felodipine or take Digoxin with felopidine It’s obviously my heart and blood pressure causing pain in my worse eye but I don’t know one Will is right for my eye as I don’t one my other gets worse it’s now weekend so who can I see someone as bad pain in eye thanks

I would ring your clinic emergency number or go to a&e. Eye pain should always be checked out by an expert. Dont take the risk of assuming you know what it is. They will have an on call ophthalmologist and also be able to advise as to your medication.I take bisoprolol and amlodipine and wouldn't stop taking them. Make sure your heart and eye docs are talking to each other!

There is a possibility it's "just" dry eye. This can be incredibly painful but soothing sterile eye drops such as hylotear or hypromellose will help if so. If the eye is tearing up it's dry and needs moisture. Still get it checked out though.

Thank you eyesright I rang 111 and spoke to dr and she had someone come to my flat and checked me My heart was running very fast he was here till 4 am and was a lot of help He got me n appointment within 6 hours had 2 apps one for eye and one for heart Was kind and offered an ambulance take me to hospital but better if my grandaughter took me as a long day and from one place to another so saw both My eye was very red inside and you’re right use lots drops on both which I’m doing with hyloforte as I can’t get most drops. In My dr had already referred me to cardiology I expect it will be ages with this covoid 19 I was so muddled about which pills to take as my a/f stayed as before it had always gone after 8 hours Dr had given me in week 2.5 bisoprolol but bp dropped to 90 over 80 as also on 5 mg felodipine So at appointment said take 1.5 and carry on with felodipine so I was worried taking both so I was so pleased you’re taking 2 made me feel safer but of course I’ll talk to my dr tomorrow as l only at hospital yesterday I’m having injections both eyes Wednesday I hope my heart will slow down by then as injections help eyes Thank you so much for your help xx
