My "shot" eye has also had several episodes (for a couple of months) of being bloodshot. I use Systane, which clears it up, but it worries me too!

If not a direct result of a blood vessel being hit during an inj then may be blood pressure related (my hubby gets this). Suggest you see your gp to get checked out.
