New Treament A M D
Good Morning Tessa83,
It looks like the GB 102 and GB103 from Graybug are not recruiting for trials in the UK at the moment. Their most recent trials began in October, but are taking place in the USA.
There are a few ways to take part in clinical trials, it would be worth getting in touch with the hospital and finding out if they are a research hospital and if so, asking to be on their research database to take part in any of their trials they are conducting.
You could also register to be part of our research database, here you will fill in details and then be contacted by us if there are any trials in your area that you could be suited for, to sign up follow this link to fill in the form: macularsociety.org/database
To search for clinical trials across the UK, you can use the following website to find any clinical trials that may be of interest, bepartofresearch.nihr.ac.uk/ you can filter for specific conditions and age range.
If you are interested in taking part in clinical trials in other countries, you can use the following website apps.who.int/trialsearch/ to find trials that may be suitable.
You can read about other people's experiences with clinical trials here, which can help you know what to expect in Taking part in trials healthtalk.org/clinical-tri...
It is important to be aware that the presence of trials on these websites does not mean that they have been evaluated by an ethics committee, or given scientific approval. Therefore if a trial is of any interest, it is important to check with your ophthalmologist to establish whether they think it is reputable and ethically approved.
If you want to understand how a clinical trial works and what the procedure is, read the NHS website about clinical trials nhs.uk/conditions/clinical-... which will tell you what you need to know and be aware of.
Best Wishes
Becky

First I've heard of this; and it does sound promising. Link to site...
I was at the eye hospital yesterday for my injection & took opportunity of asking eye doctor if Eylea KSI301 is any nearer to being available in UK. She said it has not yet been approved by NICE. I have asked the same question of another doctor on a previous occasions and shall continue to keep asking.
