Just a quick post as still cant see straight. Had the cataract op on Tuesday & my Surgeon said all went well. Had a problem with double vision & rang for advice. Very helpful & cannot understand why our hospital gets moaned about.

Have ended up using a previous pair of glasses that dont have a prism lens in for time being. Like all you lovely people told me it was nothing to be so worried about.

Can already see a difference in colour & clarity. So again thanks to all of you who helped to put my mind at rest.

Glad all went well.

One thing that I got is in the dark with small light ( clock etc) at a certain angle I see a wide circle of lights in the eye I had done. It's a bit like the alien mother ship coming in to land. Cue Close Encounters theme lol.

My doc said its because my pupil opens especially wide, wider than the replacement lens so causes the ' halo' . it's nothing to worry about and disappears when I move my gaze. Just thought I'd let you know x

Its always good to hear what others experience as it gives more idea of what to expect. I really was worried but realised after the op that you all were right not to worry too much. So again thanks for helping.
