Numing injection
Loads of numbing drops before the injection
Usually just plenty of numbing drops before the injection!
Hi Ugean. I used to get lots of numbing drops before injection but for some reason, for the last few injections, I don't seem to get so many drops beforehand. Maybe that's why I am having problems.
Not numbing injection but plenty of drops. Seems to work ok for me.
I get drops and a numbing injection.
I always get numbing drops (which haven't always been 100% effective).
Have you had a tendency to move in the past when numbing drops have been used? Maybe the technique they are using is to freeze eye movement.
I read a study which, if I remember correctly, said anaesthetic injections were [obviously] the most uncomfortable to apply, but more comfortable for the following treatment.
Just drops.
My new Dr used drops, then a numbing injection. I like it so much better as I never feel a thing. He spends a minimum of 15 minutes with me. The other Dr's I've had are in private practice so they rush you through and won't take the time to give a painless procedure.
I used to get numbing injections, but they became more painful & with longer lasting pain (12 to 18 hours) than the actual Eylea injections, so now I get numbing drops administered 3 times about 10 minutes apart before the Eylea injection. One time, the doctor tried a numbing paste of some type, but went back to the numbing drops for follow-up injections.
I normally got numbing injections, new doctor did not do the numbing and it hurt like crazy, when h did the other one.
Lot of numbing drops ..before injection
