Informing car insurance of conditions?

Hi i am in the uk. I have just being diagnosed with myopic cnv in left eye. My right eye is totally fine no conditions in that eye and the specialist said i am fine to drive. Do i need to tell dvla? Also de i need to tell car insurance company? Thankyou

Hi, I don’t know the answer but I do know that there is a leaflet about driving on the Macular Society website.

I believe you only need to tell dvla if you have a scotoma. Its all on their website. You can legally drive with one good eye.

If you are dvla " legal" to drive then there is no issue with car insurance ( although for holiday insurance I always tell them in case I need an emergency inj whilst abroad).
