Yes I do. So far I have had 5 injections. As far as I can gather it is the same treatment for Macular Degeneration but I am not sure exactly what the difference is. My sister also has the same problem as I do and she has been having injections for almost 3 years now. My brother has Central Retinal Artery Occlusion of which he is told that there is no treatment.

I am much the same as you - I had 4 injections and there was no sign of any improvement, either in my "volcano like" macula edema or my vision which was basically "finger counting" visual acuity. Then after 5 injections the edema cleared up completely but with very little improvement in VA. My RS said that I could go without an injection for that month and see what happens? so I did without it for that month. Went back this month and the edema has returned and VA has deteriorated. It seems that the injections are only a "treatment" - and there is no cure for the blocked retinal vein. They don't really know but think it is associated with my atherosclerosis ( hardening/calcification) of the arteries associated with previous very high levels of cholesterol. I really don't know what to do - I have more or less decided that the treatment of injections into my eyeball every month for the rest of my life is untenable and have accepted that I have lost most of the vision in my right eye . I still have peripheral vision in it and can still drive. My forward vision in the bad eye seems to interfere with the good vision in my left eye - so I often wear an eyepatch for relief from that. There are some serious complications which can follow having this affliction so my RS will watch for those. These are dealt with with somewhat painful laser surgery and at their most extreme can involve loss of the whole eye.
