I am new here. I had my third injection for wet macular two days ago. The nurse said that she had hit a vein and there would be some small amount of bleeding but not to worry. It was not too noticeable at first but it now seems to have got worse. Eye is itchy but no loss in vision and no pain. Has anybody else had a similar exoerience and should I be worried.

Thank yiu.

Yes I have had this and think it's just the minor bleeding spreads out a little. Keep aware and get in touch with the hospital/clinic if worried but it sounds OK to me

Hi

I had this after my last injection which was in September. My eye was actually quite sore for a day or two but it soon cleared up.

I think quite a few people on this site have experienced this without any long term probkens. G

I am in the uk. Never had that in four years of injections in both eyes every four/five weeks. I have had three bad episodes.... dreadful pain .. but found out it was the iodine .... now have diluted iodine and a really good wash out at the end..... jobs a good un !!!

Oh yes! Some worse than others ( if you're brave check out one of my old posts with pic lol). They do clear up eventually but can be quite sore nothing to worry about though.

My eye is quite often somewhat bloodshot after an injection. Sometimes it is much more so than others. Usually it clears up in a few days. Sometimes it takes longer. It has never caused me pain. I think the other comments have been on point. I hope it clears up promptly. Good luck.

Hi

I've had the same experience as mentioned above.

Recently, I'm of the opinion that if the Dr doesn't inject deeply he can avoid hitting a vain ( it worked last time !)

I'll suggest this to him.

I communicate my thoughts and experiences to him with the hope of making this routine as stress-free as possible.
