Hi, you dont say what condition you have the inj for but as I understand it they can cure macular oedema, and stabilise wetmd. Possibly fix other conditions too, there will be folk on here who know more.
So there is every chance you don't need them now. Hurrah! Enjoy.
I would still check the amsler regularly in case of possible relapse but your Dr should have talked about that with you as it relates to your condition..
If you have wet AMD, injections are only given when there is bleeding or or a leakage. The injections serve to stop the bleeding or leakage. when this happens the injections are usually stopped. Often this is only temporary as the leakage is likely to return when treatment should be resumed. I have had a 5 months break in the past and at present my treatment has once more been stopped for the time being. It is by no means a rare situation. But as eyesright already said, it depends on what your specific eye condition is. All the best.
I can’t comment on wet AMD but if you suffer with macular oedema in some cases it is possible for the shots to resolve the problem but, as suggested above always be wary and keep checking your vision. Any subsequent blindspot ot blurring should be reported without delay.
Hello. I think we need a bit more detail and background! Thanks
