Is it any wonder that anyone with any eye disease is terrified of losing their sight when blind people are treated like this :dailymail.co.uk/news/articl...
It makes me despair at how callous people are. There have been so many cases, particularly in the area where I live, where blind people with their guide dog have been left high and dry as they could not hire a cab because the driver would not allow dogs in the vehicle. There have been so many cases also where some dog owners have allowed their dogs to attack guide dogs. The guide dog and the owner are just left completely traumatized and the dog owner, if caught, at best gets a slap on the wrist. I am sorry that this is so depressing.
I agree with you, but unfortunately it is sign of our times. It has become a busy, selfish world.
I found that out yesterday at our bank waiting in a queue when I felt near fainting. My legs were so weak I could hardly stand. I noticed people looking at me but no one offered help. Even the teller, when my turn came, saw me clinging to the desk but pretended she did not see and carried on with the transaction without a word and then let me stagger away to the nearest seat. Maybe she thought that was normal for an 81 year old. And still no one came to see if I was alright.
But fortunately, goodness and kindness still does exist. It is just not as common anymore.
