My wife has M/D dry and glaucoma. Does anyone know if the

new advances in treatment widely advertised in the press could

help her? I would welcome any information?

Hello ainsliewood,

There has been a lot published about various 'lens implants' in the press over the last couple of months.

The Helpline of the Macular Society have some useful factsheets and information on the subject.

If you would like to have a chat further, please call our Helpline 0300 30 30 111 (9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday). We will be able to advise you on your wife's suitability for the various types of lens implants available. This does depend to a large extent on how bad her sight is.

If you would just like us to email you our factsheet, please email your request to help@macularsociety.org

Best wishes
