Great news to hear that the anti- veg-f drug is being tried in the U.S ( 40 AMD patients and 40 DMO patients) really hoping that this is bringing us closer to the day that eye drops replace injections.

Hi tallyho

Wouldn't that be great if eye drops could be substituted for the awful injections!!! I just hope that they do work as efficiently and are not just used as cost-cutting excercise, especially for those with little hope of success because of their condition or age. I am a realist! There have been occasions in the past where treatment has been withheld because of various reasons.

I am still hoping that one day treatment for dry AMD will be found too. And althought the progress of this condition is much slower, though it does vary from person to person and may or may not ever turn to wet AMD, the eventual outcome is the same and no less debilitating.

Still, we have to keep on hoping. As they say: "Donn't worry, it may never happen!!!
