my mother age 92 had an injection of lucentis and on waking the next morning could see clearly but it only lasted a couple of hours.

Quite often the effects of the injection can improve the sight but this can vary from person to person. We would suggest that she speaks to her consultant regarding this as this is more of a medical question.
