i have had massive problems after lucentis injections , query eye scratched during procedure. anyone had similar problems

We do hear of this happening from callers to our helpline.

Occasionally the cornea gets scratched during an injection; it will usually heal up after a few days.

I assume you have been in touch with your macular clinic? Have they given you any drops to help?

I too have had big problems and initially put it down to a scratch cornea , however it appears i am sensitive to the iodine and anaesthetic eye drops and after 12 injections this had yet to be resolved.. It might be worth mentioning this at the clinic if it continues to be problematic.

this is not a common problem so it may not be so your case. Best Wiishes.

Really sorry to hear about the reaction.

Scratched cornea can be very uncomfortable, (but they do usually heal quickly too).

Please don't let this put you off further treatment if it is needed.
