Walked up to the Hoy monument, that tiny blob on the second hillock, and across to the Pepperpot on Thursday and coincidentally did the same walk as a guide for local Blind Society on Friday.
I’m in awe of the trust the visually impaired/blind people put in you to keep them safe on long and sometimes arduous walks. I usually manage to live up to their expectations. Their dogs have a great time running free too.
After a busy week I’ve worn myself out so I’m doing NOTHING today.
Wishing you all a good weekend x

I’m sure everyone enjoyed the walk. Thank you for giving your time, I too am partially sighted and have a few mobility issues due to arthritis. My sight loss was due to Hydroxychloroquinne, I was diagnosed a few years ago with Hydroxychloroquinne Retinopathy, sadly by the time it was discovered it was too late for me. I would like to say Hydroxychloroquinne was very helpful for me and I believe is still a very good drug, however, I believe the guidelines for monitoring have now been changed and I would urge everyone to make sure you have your eyes checked at the hospital regularly. You don’t appreciate what you have until you lose it and eyesight is so important !
It’s so kind of you to give your time, enjoy many more walks
