I have had lupus for over 20 years, I am currently on Hydroxychloroquine and Methotrexate and my consultant had decided to try me on two rounds of Rituximab in order to bring down the inflammation of my hands (my hands are going all gnarly).
I was wondering if anyone has been put on this med and did it work?

I have been on Rtx infusions for Sero+RA for 6 years….it has been excellent overall, but unfortunately my hands have shown no improvement visually…I’m told it’s OA.
Most of the time my hands are not too painful…..sorry I can’t be more positive……I hope you get some more hopeful replies.
Hi Cathy. I am also on the same meds as you. I tried the Rituximab for my Lupus but it did not work for me as was hoping it would, as my B cells were over populating. I am now on a different infusion treatment
I guess every case is different and what may work really well for some may not for others.
Only when you have tried it will you find out if it is helpful. Perhaps speak to your team as there may be able to give you more advice, reading material etc. Best of luck.
